About me
I started playing the piano 16 years ago. I am trained in classical, theatre and pop piano and keyboard styles. I have been teaching for six years now with great success with students! I am also a song-writer and composer. I have taught all ages and enjoy working with every age, including adult beginners.
My teaching philosophy
I had great piano teachers who always made music learning pleasant. I have tried to carry this on in my teaching style. I believe that every one can benefit from learning piano, and that all learners learn at different paces. I particularly love to work with beginners. Discovering the ability to share in music making is a magical thing, and I enjoy being a part of this process.
First Lesson
In the first lesson, you will explore the instrument in different ways. We will assess what music knowledge you have at the moment, in the event that you have studied before, or are returning to lessons. You will also have a chance to experience my teaching style and see if it works for you. There is absolutely no pressure in this first lesson, feel free to come with as much knowledge as you have, even if that means that you know nothing about the piano (that will simply mean that all the world's your oyster, oh the things you could learn!)
Location
I teach online and at my residence in Liverpool.
