About Rachel Flynn
Lessons are tailored to suit the students goals, whether that is progressing through graded exams, improving pieces for auditions and performances or just playing for fun.
Rachel began teaching privately when she was a student, at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, in 2008. She has experience of teaching players of all levels and has enjoyed supporting them through performances, competitions, county band/orchestra auditions, SQA exams and ABRSM performance and practical exams.
Rachel has freelanced with the Scottish Ballet, Scottish Opera, Red Note Ensemble, played for numerous musical theatre productions, performed solo recitals, toured Britain-wide as a member of Champagne Flutes and is a founding member of Trio 56.
Rachel currently holds the position of flute tutor at Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools, flute tutor at Clifton Hall School and Instrumental Music Instructor for North Lanarkshire Council.
