About Phillip
British pianist & educator, Phillip, enjoy’s a varied and international career as a soloist, chamber musician and educator. A prizewinner of the Gothenborg Piano Competition, Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition and the Liszt Society International Piano Competition, he was awarded the Silver Medal Award for his studies and was a recipient of the Sir James Caird Trust Award. He has performed across Europe including venues such as Salle Cortot, Wigmore Hall, Castello Auditorio, St John Smith Square. A Park Lane Group alumni, he was broadcast on BBC Radio championing British music, and is known for an all encompassing repertoire and breadth of programming.
Phillip has taught for 12 years and is in demand as a principal study teacher, chamber coach and examination/performance preparation. He is currently teaching at one of the London Conservatoires amongst other instituitions. Familiar with all the main examination syllabuses, he focuses on a tailor made approach for each student, offering a holistic and grounded education in piano playing. He believes piano playing should be a pleasure and endeavours to create a positive atmosphere in his teaching.
