About Paul

Paul is an experienced and qualified graduate schoolteacher, musician and tutor. As a musician he is a pianist and organist who has brought success to many students, both young and not so young, by helping his students to gain in confidence and realise their potential. One of his most recent students was in their 70s when they asked him to help them pass their piano diploma examination, and he was delighted to be able report that they were successful. Paul enjoys working with children and adults alike, and quickly strikes up a very good rapport with all of his students. Whatever your age, if you are looking for a teacher who will support and encourage you, and provide lessons that are challenging, enjoyable and fun, then he will be pleased to hear from you.

PIANO:
Paul teaches all ages and all grades, from elementary to diploma level. He uses the examinations of the Associated Board and the National College of Music, but also teaches those who wish to learn solely for enjoyment, and in such cases he does not pressurise any of his students into taking exams. They are welcome to do so if they so wish, of course.

ORGAN:
There is currently a shortage of organists in this country, and many churches welcome those who can help them by playing hymns and voluntaries. Paul started playing the organ when he was 12 and has enjoyed many wonderful experiences, accompanying services and giving recitals in many of the cathedrals of this country and overseas. He is currently the organist and choirmaster of two churches and relishes the opportunity to help others on such a journey.
