About Paul S.
Paul offers lessons on Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute to all ages and standards of student. All are welcome and he currently teaches a variety of students, instruments and abilities. Reflecting the work he does at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, ALL doublers are especially welcome.
With a wealth of experience performing on West End shows and teaching at FE level, Paul is at the forefront of this genre of education.
With contacts throughout the industry, Paul is perfectly placed as a consultant teacher for players wanting to further their careers and can offer friendly advice as and when required.
Credits also include LWT Parkinson, BBC Open University and BBC Can’t Sing Singers. Paul has also held many chairs on UK tours including ‘Sunset Boulevard’, ‘Kiss me Kate’, ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’, ‘Half a Sixpence’ and ‘Ain’t Misbehavin’. Performing work outside of the musical theatre genre includes Matthew Bourne’s ‘Edward Scissorhands’ Wells, RLPO and WNO.
He has recently enjoyed success as a composer and has had works published by Spartan Press, Forton Music and incidental music used on Grandma’s House (BBC2). Paul is a Vandoren UK Artist and an endorsee for Legere Sax Reeds.
