Nick has many years of experience teaching students of all ages from beginner to higher Diploma level. As well as focusing on technical development he encourages appreciation and knowledge of a wide variety of piano music covering many genres including jazz. His students regularly perform well in exams, concerts and festivals and he is always alert to the type and style of music which will suit each individual. His philosophy is centred around the belief that music is a language and that studying an instrument should foster confidence and forms of self expression in students as well as developing the skills of playing.
