About Nelson
I am a recent Masters graduate from the Royal Academy of Music (RAM), prior to my Masters I completed my Bachelor of Music which was generously supported through the Arthur Lyon Scholarship. Whilst at RAM I achieved a Licentiate of RAM (LRAM) in clarinet, this is a peripatetic teaching qualification.
Since 2017 I have been teaching clarinet and piano. In 2018 I joined Crescendo school of Music and Art as their Clarinet and Piano teacher. I am an engaged, enthusiastic teacher who thoroughly enjoys teaching and sharing the joy of music. Through patience, understanding and care I can help pupils realise their music potential.
I have taught and helped pupils through their ABRSM exam with currently 100% pass rate with most achieving Merit or higher. I do teach Trinity associated exam board too.
1st Lesson Summary
You will need - Your instrument, pencil, note book and some music you like or are interested in if you can.
We will discuss why you would like to learn your instrument and what your goals and ambitions are. What kind of music you are interested in and would like to play are really important so have a little think beforehand what you would like to eventually perform.
Based on our discussion I will create a plan to achieve your goal, breaking it down into bite size goals that we can work on each lesson.
Then we can begin playing and learning!
