About Morven
Morven is an experienced teacher of violin, viola and piano, based in Chepstow, South Wales. She began learning the violin and piano at age 7, and achieved grade 8 in both instruments before going on to study violin at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She then went on to achieve a masters degree in viola at the Royal College of Music in London. Since completing her masters degree, Morven has been working as a professional violist and violinist, and as a teacher.
Teaching
Morven is happy to teach at her home in Chepstow, or to travel to a student's homes, subject to distance and time of day. Morven has a friendly and enjoyable approach to teaching and is very happy to teach anyone from beginner to experienced players, including those who just want to learn for fun or those who prefer to take exams. Morven's lessons are varied, and cover all the essentials - pieces, scales, aural and sight-reading - to make the best, all-rounded musicians from her pupils.
