Hello I’m Elena and I am a London based flautist who loves teaching music!
A bit about me!
I am currently in my third (and final!) year of studying a music undergraduate degree and I have been playing the flute for over 10 years! Ever since I first started playing when I was 9 years old, I have played in a variety of settings. Over the years I have gained a diverse range of ensemble playing, some of which include: playing in orchestras and wind bands; playing in pop groups; performing in musical theatre pit bands; joining jazz bands and just playing in smaller groups with my friends for fun! Outside of ensemble performances, I also work as a session musician and some of my work has been featured on the radio and on Spotify.
In your first lesson with me, we will have a chat about your goals and aims. I understand that each student has different ideas of the outcome they’d like from our lessons, therefore I will tailor your lessons specifically to you!
There are so many different genres and styles of playing, so whilst my background began in classical music, that doesn’t mean that you have to only go down that route. I’ve played in a variety of ensembles, so if you feel like you would like to play in another genre, that is more than okay!
