Five lessons into my journey as an absolute beginner in violin playing, I am thankful to have found Megumi as my tutor. Despite my limited exposure, her patient and tailored approach towards adult learners like me has made a significant impact. In a short span of two months, Megumi's excellent guidance has enabled me to make confident strides from not knowing how to hold a violin, to playing basic notes, tunes and technics. Her teaching style, combining expertise with empathy, addresses the unique challenges faced by adult learners and has made my learning experience an absolute joy. Every lesson with Megumi sparks progress, and her encouragement fuels my enthusiasm for music even further. For those venturing into the world of violin, especially as adult beginners, Megumi's mentorship is a gift that keeps on giving.

Megumi started teaching our daughter 5 months ago. Taking lessons was our daughter’s decision but Megumi managed to keep her interested so that she practices during the week and is excited about every new lesson. As much as I can hear, they’ve made an amazing progress!

A wonderful teacher with an attention to detail on making sure you get the fundamentals correct. Megumi has been teaching my little one both piano and violin and I can notice the vast improvement in his technique which will help him immensely in the long run. The lessons are engaging, interactive and challenging at the same time. It has helped him build an enthusiasm for both instruments as he continues with his grading.

My nine year old daughter has been seeing Megumi for the past 6 months and from quite a basic understanding of violin (some short lessons in school), has really developed her skills quickly, and can now play 4-5 songs, as well as learning to read music. Megumi is installing a real love of playing the violin using the Suzuki method book and my daughter is learning a lot, and enjoying it!

I began learning to play the violin with Megumi about 10 weeks ago. Prior to this I hadn’t even picked up a violin and couldn’t read music at all. Megumi provided recommendations for a first violin and additional helpful purchases and helped me to get set up/ learn how to hold the violin, tune it etc. Throughout the lessons, Megumi has been incredibly patient with me and paced the lessons very well to accommodate the large number of new things I am trying to take in all at once. She also follows up with helpful videos which I use to aid my practice. I really appreciate her honest and encouraging approach as well as the advice and tips she provides. I enjoy the lessons and am making faster progress than I ever expected. Very grateful to have found Megumi – a highly skilled teacher! I look forward to more lessons!

Megumi is an excellent teacher, She is very patient and very professional, she knows exactly what she is doing. She compliments you when your doing something correct or good which will motivate you to do it better and also will point out mistakes so that we learn it in a correct manner.
