Matt has expertly guided me through creating music and improving my musical theory for my internet streams, both giving me creative and technical ideas. He's made them very clear and easy to understand while also displaying a great deal of competency and knowledge, far greater than I could have expected. He's also very warm and kind and patient when I was having difficulty. He's a true delight and has a wonderful temperment.

I have worked with Matthew in a musical capacity for a decade now in a plethora of different ensembles and always found his abilities as a band leader to be exemplary. I myself have an MA in Jazz from The Royal Welsh College but I have employed Matt for private tuition to aid me on certain aspects of my musicianship such as aural perception training and improvisation as he excels both at these disciplines and the teaching of them.
