Great lessons!! I'd been playing for ~15 years before I started taking lessons from Mat, but I wish I'd taken them sooner. He's very knowledgable and easy to talk to, and a great teacher and communicator. The lessons I've had so far have really changed the way I think about harmony and improvisation (both lead & rhythm), and I've definitely gained more control of fretboard! Can't recommend getting a lesson enough!

I always managed to avoid digging into music theory and a deeper understanding. Mathew understands this and has given me the tools I need to get to grips with modes, chord construction & progressions. He enjoys explaining the theory and methods, but manages to do so in ways that demystify daunting aspects that had formerly put me off. Some tutors can be formulaic in approach. That doesn't work for me and he is able to tap into my learning style to push me forward.

I’ve know Matthew from my early teens. I’m now 32 and can assure anyone wanting to learn the guitar that he will be able to teach them some valuable skills. He teaches with great patience and has a holistic approach.
