Mathew is a brilliant music teacher. I've been tutored by him for the better part of two years now, and he has helped me achieve my goals with his delightful and engaging manner, and I am still challenged and making progress every week. Mathew will take you as far and wide as you like and you'll love every bit of it, as he focuses on what you want to get out of your music lessons. Thank you Mathew! Highly recommended!

What an amazing teacher! Highly recommend! I am a beginner and Mathew is so supportive and patient in helping me learn and understand the electric guitar. Every lesson I have is always so informative and enjoyable unlike any other teacher. Whenever I am finding something difficult, even though it may be so small. Mathew will always reassure me and strip back to the very basics if needed without making me feel stupid. I always have new materials to work on, and he’s always there to answer questions outside of lessons if I need help with a song. Also helped get me a great quality amp, I can’t thank him enough lovely guy.

Great lessons!! I'd been playing for ~15 years before I started taking lessons from Mat, but I wish I'd taken them sooner. He's very knowledgable and easy to talk to, and a great teacher and communicator. The lessons I've had so far have really changed the way I think about harmony and improvisation (both lead & rhythm), and I've definitely gained more control of fretboard! Can't recommend getting a lesson enough!

I always managed to avoid digging into music theory and a deeper understanding. Mathew understands this and has given me the tools I need to get to grips with modes, chord construction & progressions. He enjoys explaining the theory and methods, but manages to do so in ways that demystify daunting aspects that had formerly put me off. Some tutors can be formulaic in approach. That doesn't work for me and he is able to tap into my learning style to push me forward.

Mathew is a great teacher, and personality. His teaching style is friendly yet professional. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone at any level of technical ability/musical understanding. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, and needed a deeper dive into music theory and technical best practice. Mathew was quick to understand what I wanted to achieve, and was able to tailor a bespoke lesson plan to do so.
