About Martina I

I have studied the art of singing since the age of 15 at the Cluster Music School in Milan, Italy. There, I learned to appreciate the power of our voices as a musical instrument and as a means to communicate feelings through music. I also took harmony and theory lessons, and I was part of numerous Gospel and Contemporary choirs.

When I was 20, I was a substitute teacher at the school (please see reference), teaching vocals and music to kids aged 3 to 10 years old. In September 2013 I decided to move to London to further my studies and I enrolled at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance on the BMus degree, where not only I had the opportunity to polish my skills as a vocalist, but also as an arranger, composer and
musician. The degree also offered me the chance to learn about music business, marketing, event planning and teaching.
While doing my studies, I also worked part time as a childcarer, which has been a delightful and enriching experience, as I feel

I've grown up alongside the children I was caring for. It also gave me the opportunity to work with kids older than those I worked with back in Italy. After graduating, I had the chance to work as a marketing assistant for my own university for a year. This helped me broaden my skills and gave me incredibly useful knowledge to be able to work in a field that is not necessarily connected to music. I enjoy learning different subjects and being in different environments all the time, as I feel that I have learned something valuable from every job I had, be it related to music or not.

Currently, I'm a performer and private vocal teacher. I would love to be a part of the team at Music Tutors as I believe I can transmit my love and passion for singing in a fun and lively way to the
students, while also being professional and committed to their learning.
