Martín has received commissions to compose music for short films and has arranged music for orchestras and ensembles. Through his work as a music director and arranger, he has organized and conducted improvisation groups, small ensembles, and even chamber orchestras. His musical interests revolve around improvisation, music traditions from around the world, and contemporary "academic" music. In addition to his instrumental tuition, Martín currently teaches at Chapel FM Arts Centre in Leeds, where he conducts ensembles and facilitates workshops dedicated to composition and songwriting, for adults and young people. He is also involved in Opera North's In Harmony and Young Musicians Studio programmes, where he teaches free improvisation, musicianship, and composition.
