About Martin Skews
Martin is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter and music educator from Falmouth, Cornwall. His musical roots are in rock, pop and indie music, but gradually expanded into an interest in classical and contemporary classical music.
He graduated with a BMus(Hons) Degree in Music Composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2015, and has since worked primarily as a musical director, composer and session musician, working with Rogue Otherworld, Az2B Theatre and the Minack Theatre, as well as acts such as The People's String Foundation, Suzie Mac and the Falmouth Soul Sensation.
For the past ten years he has worked as a music educator, working as visiting tutor for Southwest Music School, Stagecoach Theatre Arts School and singing teacher at Melody Vocal Academy.
Martin provides private tuition in guitar, piano, drums, singing, songwriting, music theory, composition, and music production, with a keen focus on nurturing each student's individual expression and musical pathway, no matter what genre or discipline.
