Over the last three years Mark has taken me through the Trinity Jazz grades 6 to 8 (to a distinction) and through a successful audition process to enter conservatoire for the BA (Jazz) course. Mark is an inspiring teacher of jazz and improvisation with a very positive and supportive teaching style.

Mark creates a wonderful environment in which to explore making music whilst learning to play the saxophone. He keeps the focus on enjoyment but knows how to push hard enough to achieve results without making the process a chore, and does it all with good humour. He is without question an excellent teacher. My Monday mornings are not the same if I don’t have my weekly lesson with Mark.
