Marcus is a highly experienced performer, composer and educator with a First Class Honours Degree from Leeds Conservatoire. Throughout his career Marcus has performed with various exciting original projects as well as working regularly as a sideman with touring artists across a myriad of different genres and styles.

Marcus offers tuition in bass guitar, acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, music theory and composition, as well as GCSE and A Level music support, to students of all ages, beginner to advanced.

Every musician is different and so your tuition will be adapted to suit your current level, future goals and musical tastes. You can learn your favourite songs just for fun, prepare for recitals and auditions and enter graded exams.

Instrumental tuition with Marcus will focus on a variety of techniques including sound production, sight-reading and ear-training depending on your goals.

Music theory and composition lessons are beneficial for all musicians. These lessons will help deepen your knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of music and accelerate your playing regardless of the instrument you play.

Your first lesson will be used to assess your current level, future goals and what genre or genres of music you would like to focus on and we will then work together to develop a productive and enjoyable practice routine that will propel you towards your musical goals!
