About Marco Moura
Marco is a musician and composer, natural from Porto, Portugal based in London with experience as a performer, composer and tutor over the past years.
Graduated from Middlesex University Music Jazz BA in London UK, with a First Class Honours and Masters in Composition from ESMAE in Porto, Portugal with the thesis, "The Tabla Nomenclature as inspiration for Contemporary Jazz Composition".
His composition "A Few Sketches about TV" was awarded with a 2nd Prize Ex-Aequo at the CCIPV in 2024 being performed live in Póvoa de Varzim International Music Festival.
He is a student of tabla with Subhajyoti Guha since 2022.
Currently, he holds teaching positions in music academies teaching guitar and combo lessons.
His teaching spans a variety of styles from rock to jazz, with students all the way from beginners to advanced.
Marco is a vivid and creative musician, always exploring new music and influences from all the sources he can find. He also has his quartet with an album out and has worked as a performer and composer for different projects over the past 6 years. He had his music feature in tv series over the past years and compositions being premiered for diferent lineups.
The lessons are a mix of playing and working on guitar & theory.

In the first lesson
In your first lesson, Marco will ask you about what inspired you to play the guitar, your experience in music and start playing right away! At the end of the lesson, Marco will have established the student’s standard, goals and objectives.
Beginners
You don’t need to bring anything aside from your instrument and the curiosity to learn music and guitar from beginners to advanced players, these lessons are made to help the student in developing his musical skills, guitar skills and enjoy the musical journey.
