About Maddy
Maddy is a professional musician and has been teaching harp, piano and music theory for seven years. She recognises the incredible power of music and how learning an instrument and understanding more about music can enrich your life in so many ways. Maddy is a HCPC-registered music therapist, having graduating from her Music Therapy Master's degree in Summer 2024.
Maddy teaches both children and adults and strives to make learning fun and engaging while also focusing on any goals you may have. She teaches all styles and genres of music from pop to classical, jazz to country. You may choose to engage in music grades but that is absolutely not a necessity! Learning an instrument is an amazing experience for so many reasons; personal growth, therapeutic benefits, social engagement, transferrable skills, to name a few!
Maddy offers lessons in harp, piano, and music theory and can provide lessons in one or more of these skills;
- Harp is taught from beginner to Grade 8.
- Piano is taught from beginner to Grade 5.
- Music theory is taught from beginner to Grade 5.
Maddy also has extensive experience working with individuals with special educational needs and disabilities and strives to make sure her lessons are inclusive to everyone!
