About Lottie
Born in London, raised in Switzerland! I can teach in English or French. I am an experienced cello teacher having taught privately in Lausanne, Switzerland and Manchester. I am passionate about the cello and would love to share that with you! I have a bachelors in Music from the University of Manchester and am currently doing a Masters in performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Please bring your cello to our lessons!
What a first lesson would look like
I will start off by getting to know you and why you have come to learn the cello! If you are a beginner, I will introduce you to the physical cello itself, the sitting position and then start with plucking the strings and singing a tune to remember their names before we tackle the roles of the right and left hand and introduce you to the bow.
If you are a more experienced player, it would be great if you could come prepared with a piece you love or are working on. After having performed it for me, I will help you through technical details and give you tools in your practice to help improve the sound of your playing!
I have a range of repertoire for all levels that I can recommend that will help each student at different levels, progress.
Depending on the students time and wishes I offer 30 minutes to 1 hour and a half long lessons!
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player I would love to help you become the best cellist you can be and will tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
Send me a message from my profile here to find out more!
