Hi everyone! My name is Lok Yee Feng, and I recently moved to Glasgow. I am a professional violinist with a Master of Music in Performance from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
With over four years of teaching experience, I love helping students of all levels—whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player preparing for exams and auditions. I’ve taught students aged 5 to 18 in both group and one-to-one settings at schools in Hong Kong. I also have experience coaching youth orchestras, helping young musicians develop ensemble skills and confidence in performance.
As a performer, I have played with esteemed ensembles such as the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong (as Assistant Principal Second Violin) and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. My approach to teaching is all about building strong technique, encouraging musical expression, and helping students find joy in playing the violin.
