I can't recommend Lis highly enough. She is an excellent flute teacher. In addition to flute lessons, Lis leads a flute ensemble which students can join, bringing together flute players of all ages.

Lis is a fantastic teacher! I returned to playing the flute after a 20+ year break 6 months ago and I haven’t looked back once. She is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced musician but is also patient and understanding in her approach which is very welcome when I can’t practise as much as I’d like to. I would highly recommend her, especially for any returning flautists like myself. If you’re thinking about playing the flute or picking it back up again, give her a call!

As an adult returner, I am very pleased I signed up with Lis. She is very knowledgable, and her instructions are clear and always full of encouragement as well as humour and she has enabled me to re-kindle my enjoyment of flute playing. I particularly enjoy the ensembles she arranges providing an opportunity of playing with others in a small group in an informal setting to enjoy the music together.

Lis is a very competent, compassionate and congenial teacher, deeply interested in her subject and in her pupils. Her level of expertise in teaching of flute is very high, and she has a flexible and gently humorous approach. She had always been very keen to develop and learn in order to be better at what she does.

Lis is a very encouraging and inspirational teacher and has a wealth of experience in performing and teaching. As well as private students, Lis has also taught in schools. Lis relates well to players of all abilities and ages, from the beginner to the diploma level student, tailoring her teaching to suit the needs of the individual. Lis is very welcoming when people go to her home for lessons and she has a nice studio which she uses for her teaching.

Lis has been teaching our daughter flute from beginner to current Grade 8 standard. Lis is responsive to our daughter and facilitated rapid progress from the beginning. Lis communicates well regarding timings of lessons, and invoices are clear. We would recommend Lis as a Flute Teacher.

Lis has been consistently empathetic and supportive over the nine years I've been learning with her.
