Online lessons can be a more convenient way to learn and Lindsay has a refined an online method that has proven successful with many students both adults and children during the pandemic who have continued online since.
A hybrid approach of online and face to face is also possible - a discounted initial online trial lesson can help pupils find out if this will work for them.
Lindsay is a fun, enthusiastic woodwind tutor who passionately believes in the natural ability of all students to achieve their goals. She teaches saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder and music theory, and has a student-led teaching style helping pupils explore their own learning path, whether that be exam focused or ear playing and improvisation.
Lindsay is a tutor who aims to instil confidence in pupils’ abilities and enable them to feel at ease. She teaches a wide variety of musical styles so that you can learn anything you wish – from solos of your favourite stars, to exploring modal jazz works, playing Beatles songs, deep diving into Jamaican rock-steady or Chicago blues, discovering classical music themes or if you love Disney then playing tunes from your favourite films!
A first lesson with Lindsay will be spent getting to know you and your musical interests and setting a clear plan of small achievable goals to enable you to progress in a short amount of time. Lessons can take place either at her studio or online or a mixture of the two. Many of her current pupils that learnt online during lock-down have remained digital as they have found the format engaging and convenient.
Lindsay’s online lessons aim to be an outstanding experience due to the research, time and technology she has invested in them. She has a multi-camera set up to aid demonstrations, uses a high fidelity microphone so you can hear a ‘true sound’ and has fibre broadband to ensure there are no interruptions to your lesson. She also uses a wide variety of apps both online and in person to assist learning in areas such as notation reading, aural awareness, sight-reading and even crafts specific pieces, exercis...
