About Lily
Lily Brown is a professional flautist and flute teacher based in the Glasgow/East Dunbartonshire area. She has been teaching children and adults since 2020, as well as undertaking professional flute playing.

Lily undertook her undergraduate degree as well as her postgraduate diploma at the University of York, and her Masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Lily was privileged to win the Governor's Recital Prize for Woodwind as well as the Davis Nicolson Flute Award for travel and study in her final year. Lily was the woodwind tutor for the North Yorkshire County Youth Orchestra in 2022.
Flute Instruction:
Lily has experience teaching flute players of all abilities, from beginner to diploma level. She has had flute students who have gone far with their playing, including some who have gone on to play in their county youth orchestra.
As well as teaching, Lily freelances as a flautist and regularly performs with her flute and harp duo 'Apollo's Melody'.
