About Lewis
Have you ever asked yourself what it’s like to play the guitar? Every guitarist in the world has asked that question, so let’s find out together. Whether you are a complete beginner, or you’ve been playing for a while, Lewis will help you grow and develop as a guitarist. You will explore different genres, styles and techniques, from rock all the way to pop.
What to Expect
Lessons should be fun and engaging, with Lewis you will focus on learning your favourite genres and the techniques used within that style of music. Lewis will also incorporate music theory alongside this, so you are able to gain a more in-depth knowledge of the guitar and music overall. To get the most out of Lewis’ teaching, it is recommended that you have a 30–60-minute session once per week.
First Lesson
You will discuss what you want to gain from your lessons and what goals you want to achieve. Lewis would like to understand what made you want to play the guitar and what level you are at, this will help him plan out future lessons for you to ensure they are engaging and you get the most out of them.
My Experience
Lewis has been teaching students of all levels for over 5 years, from beginner to intermediate players of all ages. Working professionally in the music industry during that time Lewis has developed an in-depth knowledge of what is needed of a guitarist and the experience to back it up. During Lewis’ lessons he will use this experience to help you develop as a guitar player yourself. Lessons can be taught in person, at your home or online, Lewis is professional and happy to accommodate any needs.
Professional Background
Lewis is a professional session guitarist who graduated from The Royal Northern College of Music, with a Bachelors in Popular Music Performance, he has also achieved a Masters in Video Game Composition at the University of Chichester. Lewis has toured nationally and internationally with many artists and acts such as the Everything Changes Take That Tribute and the MJ The Legacy Tour Michael Jackson tribute, playing to thousands of people each week.
If you are wanting to learn the guitar either for fun or looking for a new career choice, Lewis will ensure you get the most out of your lessons and help you develop into the player you want to be.
