Leona is scheduled to make several appearances as a solo and chamber performer in 2021, such as recitals in Velehrad - Czech charity in London, Czech Embassy or performing Mendelssohn’s concerto with The St Clement's Players in Cambridge in October 2021.
Leona is a dedicated violin teacher with considerable experience in teaching different ages and skill levels from beginners to advanced. Leona is able to teach a variety of musical styles, including classical, popular, world music genres and improvisation, whilst coaching students towards taking examinations and performing live on stage.
Leona uses an effective variety of specialist teaching techniques to make lessons fun and enjoyable. She also helps students to understand music theory and aural skills as a basis to their learning. As she has a real passion for promoting the violin, her goal is to instil a sense of music appreciation, while at the same time teaching students about the technical and theoretical aspects of music. Furthermore, Leona strives to expand children’s interests in music by organising live performances and inviting them to attend her own concerts. By utilising these effective methods, she is able to reach out to each student individually, introduce new repertoire, foster a fun learning environment and help students blossom into well-rounded individuals.
