About Leon

First-Class Honours graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Guildhall Young Artist. Prize-winning artist and cross genre musician. Very experienced teacher with two peripatetic roles and a private practice. Unlock your musical potential with lessons that are inspiring, structured, and tailored to you. Whether you’re just starting out or refining advanced skills, I create a supportive space where confidence grows, technique strengthens, and music truly comes alive.

Lessons
I offer personalised lessons tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s learning for enjoyment, preparing for graded exams, auditions, or building strong foundational technique. I teach all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. Lessons focus on posture, bow technique, intonation, musicality, and confidence, always in a supportive and encouraging environment.

What You’ll Learn
Tuition is focused on violin across a wide range of styles and whilst I primarily focus on classical repertoire I can also delve into the pop and contemporary realm. Students can work towards graded exams (ABRSM/Trinity), auditions, or simply learn music they love. Lessons develop strong technique, confident music reading, expressive playing, and effective practice habits, ensuring steady and rewarding progress.

First Lesson
Our first session is relaxed and informative. We’ll discuss your goals, musical interests, and any previous experience. I’ll assess your current level (if applicable) and outline a clear, achievable plan to help you progress with confidence.
