About Lela-mai
Lela Mai is an experienced performer and teacher of both piano and violin as well as theory of music.
You can start playing music at any age and all age groups are welcome with Lela Mai.
She uses a gentle and encouraging approach and is flexible in her style of teaching, whether by ear or notes-based. She teaches every genre of music, including Classical, Jazz, Bluegrass and Free style improvisation.
Violin lessons encompass every level of playing from beginners to advanced.
Piano lessons take students up to intermediate level, grade 5.
She brings theory of music to practical lessons where required and also offers lessons specialising in music theory.
Lela usually teaches from her studio in Glastonbury but is willing to travel upto 20 miles to students if this fits in with her itinerary.
