Laurie is a prize-winning violinist and experienced teacher from Hampshire. He began lessons aged six and has studied with teachers including Wen Zhou Li, Pavel Fischer and Susanne Stanzeleit at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Laurie moved to Birmingham in 2013 to pursue a special master’s programme in “Performance & Pedagogy”, which fused elements of PGCE teacher training with intense violin tuition and led to employment with Birmingham Music Service. He's been teaching in the West Midlands ever since!
