About Laura
Hi there! I am a classical cellist who has been performing internationally for over 10 years (concertos, duo recitals, chamber music).
In lessons, I draw on both my performing and teaching experience, whilst tailoring my methods to the specific needs of each individual student.
I have a tension-free and ergonomic approach to technique, and am passionate about nurturing your enthusiasm for music and playing the instrument. Together we will determine your goals and find the most efficient and enjoyable way to achieve them. In my own performing life, I have also emphasised the importance of open conversation about performance anxiety, and would be very happy to help with any worries or confidence issues you may have.
At the end of your lesson with me you can expect to have very clearly outlined and achievable goals, but most importantly you should feel curious, excited, and empowered!
