About Larry

Guitar tutor, registered member of Registry of Guitar Tutors @ London College of Music, with 20+ years playing experience and Associate Diploma in guitar performance. Teaching at all levels from basics for absolute beginners to performance coaching for pros.

I provide personalised lessons that focus on developing guitar playing skills that are relevant to the goals of the student. I always ensure that my lessons are centred around music that the student enjoys, to ensure that the student is having fun and learning music that they are interested in playing. I will also introduce the student to new musical artists and styles, to expand their palette and develop their technical vocabulary.

Whether you've got your eyes set on a lifetime of professional guitar performance or just playing music you enjoy in the comfort of your own home, I have a curriculum that can help you get there.

Playing the guitar has been the main passion in my life for over 20 years. I have been through the guitar academic system, gaining grade 8 when I was 16 years old, and an Associate Diploma from the London College of Music when I was 19.

Since then, I have enjoyed a fulfilling career as a semi-professional guitarist and songwriter, playing and writing in a rock/metal band that is currently enjoying growing success (Radio 1 play, touring, performing at major UK festivals). I have learned a lot as a performing musician during this time, and wish to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of players.

I have informally taught guitar lessons to friends and colleagues for many years, but now, alongside my career in musical performance, I have decided to take on regular students so I can share the techniques, approaches and methods that I have developed over the past 20 years.
