About Kyle Sharp

Kyle Sharp is a Glasgow based drummer specialising in Live Performance, Studio
Recording, Remote Recording and Tuition. Kyle is a current SQA Secondary School drum
instructor where he takes students within the Falkirk council through their SQA Nat 5, 6
and 7 exams has a 100% pass record to date with predominantly A-Grade passes both at
SQA level and with graded syllabus such as Trinity, or Rock School. He is extremely
passionate about tuition, and relishes in seeing people of all ages and ability enjoy and
develop on the drum kit. Kyle has also taught privately for over a decade, originally
honing his teaching skills at dD Drums then moving on to teach privately himself which
he does weekly from his Glasgow studio.

He actively plays a mix of shows, tours and festivals across the UK and Europe and has
drummed for the likes of Vanives, Fatherson, ILI, Becky Sikasa, Cloth, Be Charlotte, The Vegan
Leather, and more. Kyle has played live for over a decade, boasting a BA (Hons) in
commercial music and has played extensively on both TV and Radio on shows such as
BBC Scotland, BBC Scottish Act of The Year, BBC Radio 1, BBC Music Introducing, BBC
Radio Scotland, BBC Iplayer, and has played festivals such as Latitude Fest, The Great
Escape, The Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party, C/O Pop, Belladrum, The Glenfiddich
Experiment, Party at the Palace, Otherlands, Brewdog EGM and more.

He has recorded with multiple artists and producers at Scottish studios such as Gloworm,
Chem 19, 7 West, Lofi, and records remotely from his studio in Glasgow's East End where
most recently he recorded Becky Sikasa's second E.P 'The Writings And The Pictures And
The Song'.


SQA SCHOOL TUTION:
Being a current SQA Secondary School level drum instructor, and armed with a fully SQA-Approved program, Kyle can help students through their school music exams or graded exams and has a 100% pass record to date with predominately A-Grade passes. His SQA program is varied, including pieces and accompanying backing tracks across all levels for each style student's can perform in their SQA exams. These pieces are not only basic styles, but 'real' songs adjusted for level so students are never without pieces that they enjoy learning.
