About Juliette
Juliette is a dedicated and passionate young trumpet player from the South Side of Glasgow. Having had success as a freelancer in Scotland, Juliette has a passion for music performance and education and has experience performing with myriad professional ensembles as well as working in a range of educational contexts.
Juliette's teaching style is student-centric and always focuses on the enjoyment and personal and musical development of the student. She enjoys playing a wide variety of styles and genres and implements this in her teaching as well as a focus on the basics of brass playing to ensure her students have the best foundations for their future development and enjoyment of music. Juliette has experience in preparing student for board exams but prefers to focus on general enjoyment and confidence gained through music as well as developing strong foundations of technique and musicality to implement in music making.
With a specialty in classical brass repertoire and orchestral playing, Juliette is suited for brass players of all ages looking to improve technique and expand their repertoire. She has experience teaching students of all ages, ranging from adult to primary school age children and has experience of virtual teaching, group teaching, music workshopping and individual lessons.
Juliette provides weekly lessons of 30 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour but is flexible depending on the needs of her students and can offer in person lessons at the student's home or online lessons. In your first lesson expect to have a relaxed and open environment for discussion around your musical goals as well as your current standard and what music you enjoy. If starting as a complete beginner expect lessons to be fun and lead by games and explorative methods to build musical technique and theory from a place of understanding and curiosity.
