About Julia
Welcome! I’m a progressive educator, providing a dynamic learning environment. With 22 years of practical experience, formal training, and 5+ years of teaching experience, I have carefully curated a teaching approach to encourage both musical and personal growth whilst working together. Feel free to keep reading if this sounds like it is for you!
≪ My Teaching Approach ≫
I provide a holistic teaching environment for my students. Music is not based solely on the instrument but the areas surrounding it, we will focus on:
• The theory of music
• Technical skills
• Expression through both intuition and theoretical knowledge
• And, of course, learning how to play piano utilising the above skills
I facilitate a space for curiosity to provide a deeper learning experience to expand your musical knowledge, expression, and confidence.
≪ What I can Provide ≫
With classical training and multi-instrumental experience, I can support you through:
• Practical examinations (grade 1 - 6) through ABRSM.
• Music theory examinations (grade 1 - 5) through ABRSM.
• Tailored preparation for school entrance examinations.
• Engaging lessons designed for you and your learning goals.
