I'm a classically trained composer with PhD in sound design; also pianist and signed singer songwriter with a track record of music releases and performances ranging from jazz and world music ( as a vocalist ) to indie ( as a part of the band ). I compose and perform a range of music styles and my teaching style reflects that - I enjoy learning about my pupils' music taste and what they are passionate about and finding the best way for them to learn it, as well as encourage their creativity. If there's interest, my students learn basic rules of composition, both classical and contemporary songwriting; it becomes the part the process of learning how to sing or play. I work both with adults and children and several of my pupils have gone on to study music full time, three of them now recording artists that keep releasing music.
