About Josie

Josie is currently a second year undergraduate music student at Royal Holloway, who is eager to share her passion for music. She has experience in teaching all ages and abilities for the past 4 years, from complete beginners, to students wanting to go down the grades route. She currently offers lesson in Englefield Green and surrounding areas, for piano, clarinet, saxophone, and theory.
If you wish to take graded exams, Josie is able to prepare you for this. She believes that the most important thing about music lessons is that the student is enjoying what they are learning so lessons are focused around what the they would benefit from the most, whether that be exams, building their confidence, or learning a new skill for fun!
She has grade 8 in piano and saxophone, and clarinet. She also has grade 6 in music theory.
What will your first lesson look like?
If you’ve never had a music lesson before, she would recommend thinking about what sort of music you would like to play so we can work on this together. If you have played before, then feel free to share any previous material so she can assess what your current ability is.
