Joe has provided excellent tuition and I'd highly recommend him to any future students. He is patient and always willing to explain things in a way that works for me, even if I'm a bit slow to pick it up at first! Highly recommend!

I’ve had 5 lessons with Joe at this point and am very satisfied with the way they’re going. At present, my lessons are split about 50:50 between him helping me with riffs I already know and learning to play them more efficiently, and being taught new riffs and exercises to help with various aspects of my guitar playing. Despite the difficulties of teaching over zoom, he is particularly good at picking up how I’m playing riffs as well as understanding my general technique and this has led to lots of suggestions for improvement in a short space of time. As someone who listens largely to rock and metal, Joe has been great at suggesting riffs and songs in the genre and was also happy to downtune one of his guitars, making it easy for us to play in the same key. In addition to the lessons, Joe also sends me an email the day after the lesson, detailing everything we covered and these often contain links to songs to try, or tabs for exercises, which I’ve found to be really helpful particularly when we’ve covered a lot in a lesson. Overall, I’m very happy with both his teaching and the progress I’ve made, over the last few months and would recommend Joe to anyone looking to improve their playing.
