-Lead Guitar Techniques
-Song Learning
-Live Performance
-Music Theory
-Songwriting and Compositional Analysis
-Warm up and Practice Exercises

Genre
Joe specialises in Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Classic Rock and Blues Guitar, however he is happy to teach other genres such as funk and pop as well.
Your First Lesson
The first lesson is a brilliant way for you to tell Joe exactly what you are looking to learn. During this time, together you will construct a solid framework upon which your lessons will be based going forward. Joe will always endeavour to teach you at least one new thing in this trial lesson so that you have something to get started on right away!
Advice for Beginners
Taking lessons at an early stage in your musical learning can be a little daunting, however Joe will ensure that every lesson is both fun and appropriately challenging. He advises that you spend 10-15 minutes warming up before each lesson, as well as ensuring that your guitar is in tune. If you are very new to the guitar, make sure to use a light gauge of strings as this will make playing the guitar a little easier. This is particularly important for young players who are keen to learn quickly and stay engaged with their instrument. I recommend Ernie Ball Super Slinky or Ernie Ball Extra Slinky strings.
Joe is a passionate tutor and always loves the challenge of creating an exciting and uniquely tailored musical experience for each student. He looks forward to hearing from you.
