About Joonas Pekonen

I tailor my lessons according to each student's individual needs. This means I adjust my teaching to match the goals and abilities of the student, which in turn makes sure that every student is able to fulfil their potential and enjoy the lessons. I am also able to help with orchestral audition preparation, as I have had successful auditions to LSO, RSNO and Philharmonia. I'm experienced in teaching beginners, as well as advanced students and adult learners.

I studied pedagogy for two years in the Sibelius Academy as part of his bachelor's studies. This included teaching very young beginners, as well as adult students with prior experience. I have taught both privately and at the World Heart Beat Academy in London.
