About Joey
Hi! I am Joey - a singng teacher based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, teaching people in the Holmfirth and Huddersfield area.
I've been a singer all my life, starting offically at nine years old as a choral scholar at Ampleforth College. Music and singing is a lifelong passion which is incredibly important to me, something I look to pass on to all of my students.
As a graduate of The Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, a strong, practical understanding of techinique is the foundation of my work as a singing teacher. However, my professional career has been wonderfully varied, having had the pleasure to find success in musical theatre, opera and pop genres. As a teacher, this variety gives me insight into the numerous aspects of the various singing styles, which means I can draw on the most effective teaching methods and appropriate techniques
I teach everyone from hobbyists to professionals, including preparing students for ABRSM, Trinity, MTB graded examinations, so whatver your level, I'll be able to help you improve.
