About JJ ROSA

JJ, also known professionally in the industry as 'JJ Rosa' // "JJ is an incredible musician..." (Labrinth, Artist/Producer) - is a multi-qualified pro musician/songwriter/vocalist + music producer with 15+ years experience in the music industry and 20-25+ years experience learning and teaching electric guitar, piano and singing, at all levels ranging from complete beginners to intermediate players.

JJ and her band have opened stages for The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and more to date, as well as being sponsored in the past by guitar giants Fender and more recently Yamaha.

JJ has now begun teaching Music Production as well as songwriting skills, sharing tips and ideas on the best ways to begin writing a great song. She is keen to share all her knowledge from writing melodies, chord progressions and lyrics, and later progressing towards how to then record and produce these ideas to demo format, via the music computer software Logic X, of which JJ has upwards of 10 years experience.

JJ has a home studio, based in SW London, where students can either attend in person and/or lessons can be given remotely.

Although JJ is a Grade 8 classically trained pianist, she chooses to focus her teaching toward more Popular music, for kids and/or adults that feel more akin to a more free aspect of learning, where the objective is more angled toward a mix of creating original ideas, improvisational skills and of course simply learning how to play and perform your favourite tunes!

Grade work isn't something JJ feels is essential for all students as not everyone performs best to an exam based curriculum. She feels it can take away some of the 'fun' aspects of learning a musical instrument and unless progressing towards a classical based career, grade work isn't a crucial factor required to prove yourself and your skill level within the Popular music industry.

JJ says "I want to make learning an instrument fun and feel like a really vibey jam sesh!"
