About Jessica

I am a professional violinist with a Masters degree from the Royal College of Music in London and a Bachelor's Degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am experienced teaching all age ranges, abilities and groups and aim to inspire and provide my students with knowledge and confidence.

As a teacher, my overall aim is to give my students confidence, empowerment and an invaluable and transferable skill set.
Whilst my methodology is focussed around building a solid technique, I will tailor my lessons to the needs and wants of the student inlcuding creating a bespoke lesson plan. Teaching is a two-way job, and it is important for the student to feel they are getting the most out of their sessions. Whilst having a strong technical foundation is vital, I endeavour to nurture a love and enjoyment for music to enable the student to reach their goals and full potential.

Topics we will cover:
- General Violin Set-Up & Technique (LH set-up, Bow Technique, Sound Production, Vibrato etc...)
- Music reading & Basic theory
- Studies/Etudes
- ABRSM/Trinity Grades (if so wished by the student!)
- Standard Repertoire
- Mind & Body Awareness
