About Jess

I provide a person-centred, friendly and inclusive teaching service aiming to empower and foster musical expression through instrumental and creative development for beginners.

I studied music at Royal Holloway University of London, specialising in musical theatre vocal performance, and achieved a BMus (Hons, 1st). During this time I continued refining my skills as a Saxophonist studying with Karl Horch (saxophone professor at Royal College of Music), and music theory knowledge. Qualifications include Grade 8 Vocals (ABRSM, Distinction and Rockschool, Distinction), ARSM Performance Diploma in Alto Saxophone (ABRSM, Merit), Grade 7 Music Theory (ABRSM, Merit), and Grade 6 Piano (ABRSM, Merit).

Beyond my music qualifications, I am lead vocalist, saxophonist, and songwriter of original indie-rock band called INTERMISSION (@intermissionuk). I have experience working with learning and neuro-disabilities, leading song creation, and engaging with a range of musical tutoring. I am currently working toward a masters degree in Music Therapy to become a HCPC-qualified Music Therapist.

Please feel free to inbox me if you have any further questions or would like to request a video call for an initial meet. I currently have availability Tueday afternoons.
