Jeremy teaches Double and electric Bass and Piano at Surrey University.

Playing for Sir Cliff Richard, Acker Bilk, Lord Menuhin, Steve Griegory (Rolling Stone/ George Michael), Yo Yo Ma, Speech Debelle, Simon Rattle and Clive Jenner (Proclaimers/ Freestylers), Mungo Jerry, Chesney Hawkes. Tutored by Geoff Gascoyne (Jamie Cullum) Mike Janisch, Eddie Harvey and Howard Goodall. Performing at Ronnie Scott’s, Vortex Jazz Club, Glastonbury, B.B.C Radio One and ITV. Support for Roni Size & James Taylor Quartet.

Teaching for over 30 years (including Head of Department) at Thomas's Prep School Fulham, St John's Leatherhead, Downsend School, Thomas's Prep School Clapham, Monkton Combe School.

Piano Students - Engaging music, supportive Treble and Bass clef note reading. Learning quality Practice techniques. Supportive work with sight-reading, scales and aural tests to make these enjoyable. Supportive help with ABRSM and other exam boards

Double Bass students - Bass clef note reading, fun and engaging music including duets. Bowing techniques, scales, practice technique and the use of metronome. Playing Jazz and Improvising. Opportunities to play at Jazz Jam sessions. Option using ABRSM and other exam boards.

Electric Bass students - Tailored course learning Rock, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Latin and Country music. TAB and bass clef and learn pieces from your favourite bands.
Learning theory and understanding how to improve your playing taking it to a higher level. Supportive and helpful understanding of practice techniques.
Rock school and Trinity exam boards are an option.

Guitar Students - learning to play chords with my self written chord book. Learning to read notation. Support through rock school examinations and opportunity to play live. Learning to play duets and learning your favourite music.

Drums - Learning to read notation and play music from your favourite bands.
Learning more complex rhythms and Jazz. Supportive help with Rock school exams.

Learning an instrument is a wonderful experience, and never loses its magic. All learning routes are tailored and catered for such as autism and dyslexia with empathy and support. I look forward to teaching you and have specific ideas we can discuss and plan for these.
