About Jennifer
Friendly and experienced cello teacher offering fun and flexible lessons for all ages and levels!
Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your skills, I provide cello lessons tailored to your goals. Whether it’s for personal enjoyment, preparing for exams, or getting ready for an audition or concert, my lessons are designed to help you progress in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
About My Lessons
I customise each lesson to suit your individual needs and goals. You can expect a balance of technique, repertoire, and creativity, ensuring your learning is both enjoyable and rewarding. I use methods like Suzuki and Cello Time Joggers/Runners, but I'm always happy to explore new music or approaches that match your interests.
Additionally, I encourage improvisation as it’s a key skill for developing musical confidence—whether playing solo or with others.
---
Who Can Learn?
I welcome students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a beginner eager to pick up the cello for the first time or an advanced player working towards ABRSM exams, I adapt my teaching style to help you achieve your personal goals.
---
Your First Lesson
In our first lesson, we’ll discuss what you want to achieve and start exploring the instrument together. My aim is to create a comfortable space where you can feel at ease while learning at your own pace.
---
Location & Availability
I offer flexible lesson times and can travel to you in North London or teach remotely via Zoom from anywhere. Whether you prefer weekly lessons or a more adaptable schedule, I work to find a time that suits you.
---
About Me
I’ve been teaching cello privately in North London for over three years and am currently a cello professor at Young Music Makers. My experience includes coaching chamber music and teaching classroom lessons with the Southwark Music Hub, and Wimbledon Music School. I continue to perform as a professional cellist, and was previously a member of Southbank Sinfonia.
