What Does a First Lesson Look Like?

Lessons take place at the students house, so they play on a piano they are familiar with.

Students ambitions are listened to, such as exams or a favourite piece they wish to learn.

Students with previous experience are encouraged to prepare a piece to demonstrate their current ability level.

How Are Lessons Structured?

James guides his students all the way through the learning process to their first exam and beyond. A strong musical understanding is embedded from an early stage so students are confident discussing musical features of the pieces they learn.

Students learn music from all styles including Classical, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Film Music, Rock and so much more! There are always new songs being added to the portfolio

Students are encouraged to search for their musical fingerprint and discover what music suits them best.
