Notes for adult Learners:
When it comes to teaching adults, Jacob's looking to provide you with the tools you need to achieve your own goals. There's no single formula that a guitarist must follow to play the music they love, and with a respect for your tastes and ambitions, goals can be set together to turn those ambitions into achievements.

What to expect from the first lesson:
In order to bring the best out of a student, a teacher needs to know what kind of music excites and motivates the learner. The first lesson is not a test, but an opportunity to get an insight into your interests and experience. As well as setting some goals together, it's likely that Jacob can give you something to work on that day that will get you started on a journey of progress.

Notes for Younger learners:
When teaching younger learners, Jacob covers a variety of topics to inspire the maestro within. Creativity is at the core of his lessons with the very young, and knowledge on the instruments is passed on through games that use percussion instruments and the voice as well as the guitar.

A focus on progress:
Jacob's lessons are given with a focus on achieving your goals. It's essential that lessons are tracked and students are provided with feedback. Jacob provides all of his students with a shared google document to track the lessons and provide feedback and offer tips on what to practice. Jacob's also open to feedback to ensure that the student is pleased with how the lessons are going.
