I picked piano back up as an adult after nearly 20 years of not playing, so I was a little apprehensive about starting again. Jack has made the whole thing feel really easy and comfortable. He’s patient, explains things really clearly and, importantly, has taken the time to understand how I learn. I tend to overthink things, and he’s very good at knowing when to explain something differently or just get me to stop thinking about it so much! I’ve really enjoyed getting back into playing and feel like I’m making good progress, without the lessons ever feeling pressured.

I started piano lessons with Jack as an adult, mid 30’s with no prior experience. I have had other music teachers in the past for different instruments and can honestly say Jack is a brilliant teacher. He is friendly and adapts to your pace and learning style. I leave every lesson feeling like I’ve progressed and looking forward to the next one. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a piano teacher, irrespective of age and ability.

I started piano lessons as an adult in my 30s with no previous experience, and I could not be happier with Jack as my teacher. After just over 10 lessons, I am amazed by how much I have learned and how much joy music now brings to my life, and I'm now studying for grade 2. Jack is a natural teacher with clear guidance and a supportive style, and I can easily see how great he would be with children too. If you're thinking about learning piano, I couldn't recommend Jack more highly.

Jack is an excellent tutor. He is always on time, is understanding when my work gets in the way of our scheduled lessons; even at short notice. He is friendy, enthusiastic, patient and clearly very experienced. He works towards your goals with you and his advice and wealth of knowledge made him an obvious choice. In just a few weeks I have made great progress as a total beginner. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I’ve been taking lessons with Jack for the past couple of months. Jack is a patient, non-judgemental and friendly teacher and I can’t recommend my lessons enough! I am an adult learner who hadn’t spent any serious time on a piano in 15 years. I am playing for enjoyment rather than working through to any exams, and Jack has been super flexible in his teaching. We spend our lessons going through theory and practice so that I have the tools to go home and start picking up the music I want to play.

Jack has been an excellent Piano tutor for my daughter Megan so far. She was a beginner and thought reading music would be out of reach but was already well on her way from the get go. Working extremely well with Jack and now beginning to think about graded exams for the future 4 lessons in, growing in confidence every week. Jack is patient with a very positive attitude, also leads very productive lessons. Myself and Megan could not recommend him more highly!
