About Isobel

Hi! I’m Isobel, a hybrid voice and guitar teacher based in North London. Vocally, I specialise in a range of styles including pop, Musical Theatre and classical. I studied at The University of Melbourne graduating with a Graduate Diploma of Practical Music (classical voice), followed by a Masters in Music Performance Teaching majoring in voice. I have been teaching voice professionally in high schools and music studios for over 3 years.

I specialise in acoustic guitar covering styles from pop, indie and folk (chords, strumming, finger picking), however I offer support for learning electric guitar as well (power chords, chords, riffs).

Alongside guitar and vocal lessons, I teach music theory up to Grade 5 level.

The length of my lessons are typically 60 minutes. Lessons are open to ages 8+ and all levels; from beginner to advanced, and for those who wish to explore both classical or contemporary styles. With a deep understanding and appreciation that no two students are the same, I ensure inclusion and equal opportunities for all students, and provide a safe and enthusiastic environment where students can flourish and express themselves freely, as well as develop their own musicianship. My goal is to inspire students, developing not only technique, but increasing their self-esteem and positively impacting their wellbeing.

Singing and guitar lessons with me take place at Storm Rehearsal Studios in Holloway, or the convenience of your own home within a mile radius. For home singing lessons, I do require access to a piano or keyboard.

Please note that a £12 fee applies for the studio hire. All travel terms, conditions and associated costs are determined based on the details of each individual enquiry.
