About Isabel

*First Lesson Free*

I’m is currently a Master Degree student at the Royal College of Music after having completed my Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours.

During my education, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside many great bass players, both performers and pedagogues, from whom I’ve learned and who have shaped my current teaching style. Some of these great professors include Rodrigo Moro (LSO Principal Bass), Nicholas Bayley (BBC Symphony Principal), Tim Gibbs (Philharmonia Principal), Rupert Ring (Sub-principal ENO), and Caroline Emery, among many others.

My approach to teaching:
I aim to empower my students with the knowledge to make fast and healthy progress, both in person and online. I understand that every student has a unique way of learning, and I strive to find the vocabulary and approach that resonates with each one.

I recognize that everyone has different needs and goals when learning music. These might include working towards exams and ABRSM Grades, learning just for fun, playing with friends, taking music up as a hobby, or even not knowing your goals yet—and that’s perfectly okay!

I specialise in classical music and the German bow.

I have experience working with students of all ages and skill levels. I truly believe music has an important role in everyone’s life. Whether you’re just starting, returning to playing after many years, continuing your studies after conservatory, or on a professional path, I’m excited to help you realize your full potential.

No age restrictions and no prior knowledge of music theory required.
