Hello, my name is Harry. For me, music has the ability to go beyond words, beyond images and those mundane things in everyday life. I believe that learning to understand and communicate through music should be an integral part of the human experience. Music invites us to think and feel and connect with each other. Our life’s journey in music is unique to us as individuals, offering different experiences and pathways. I always try to make my teaching reflect this. Whether for private enjoyment or performing to others, I can help you build technical know-how and help you to take ownership as a performer.

I am a passionate and experienced teacher, having worked in secondary schools and churches teaching academic music, theory, organ, piano and singing. I am also studying singing at postgraduate level and working as a freelance singer and organist.

I have taught children and adults, both advanced and beginners, achieving good success where students have chosen to do performance exams and instilling musicianship skills relating to understanding style, aural awareness, harmony and approaches to performance.
